Thomas Signer is an independent financial consultant. He also teaches finance courses in MBA programs in Switzerland and abroad. His key research interest is the interplay of demography and financial markets.

Before starting his independent consultancy in 1998 he worked for Nomura Securities in New York and Morgan Stanley in London in Structured Finance and Equity Derivatives. Thomas Signer received a Master of Science degree from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in 1990.
